In 2017 a friend of mine was honored for her achievements in the arts and sciences research of women in 6th century Scandinavia.   Among these women the safe keeping of keys was very important.  This highly stylized key ties together elements of the achievement, her research, and the organization bestowing the award to commemorate the ceremony.

Fabricated of pure copper, each part was hand cut and fitted with a jewelers saw and joined with hard silver solder.

I love being invited into peoples lives, to be a part of their biggest moments. That the work of my hands will bring them joy and outlast us both.
